On Sunday, September 27 at 11:00 Mrs. Homel and I (Robin Covington) will be
presenting the God and Me & God and Family awards during the 11:00 service
to the boys that were in our classes during January to May.  If you attended
one of these classes please come to Oak Ridge United Methodist Church at
11:00 to receive your award and be recognized.  Please wear your Class A
shirts and look nice.

Monday October 12th
 
Troop 139 and Pack 130 will hold our first annual Swap Meet. This is a wonderful opportunity to turn any unwanted Scouting and Outdoor gear into cash while helping others get geared up affordably.

Items we’d like you to sell:
Uniforms, belts caps and badges
Backpacks, tents, sleeping bags, rain gear, stoves, lanterns etc
Collectable coins, stamps, cards, marbles
Bicycles, skis, life preservers, canoes
Pinewood derby tools and supplies
Pocket Knives (Only Parents or First Class and higher Scouts may carry during the meet)
Water guns, catapults, kites
 
If you have a BB gun or Bow and Arrow’s for sale, please bring a photograph and arrange to meet the purchaser at home. We do not want you to bring these items to the Church or the parking lot.

Scouts and Scout Family’s
This will be your opportunity to buy or order Popcorn from your associated Cub Scout Pack. We ask you please to “keep it in the family” and will be offering a voucher for a free Hair Cut at Sport Clips if you buy from us!
Cub Scout Family’s
This is your opportunity to ‘pre order’ a Christmas Tree from your associated Boy Scout Troop. We ask you please to “keep it in the family” and will be offering an incentive on the price and Free curb side delivery for your advanced orders! You’ll still be able to visit the lot and pick out the tree you want.

Dues for New Scouts

The fee for joining scouts from September to December is $12.00.  BSA registers scouts on a calendar year so the amount you pay now is a prorated amount.  We will be collecting registration of approximately $30.00 in December for the 2010 year.  You can also purchase the BSA magazine "Boys Life" at an additional fee of $10.00. 

FALL CAMPOUT  - Battlefield District’s annual Cub Scout Fall Family Campout will be held the weekend of October 23rd-25th. 

Friday - October 23rd - Early Check-In - 3pm-9pm

Saturday - October 24th - Pack 130 Check-in - 9am-11am
